Located on the famous White Cliffs of Dover and the supposed birthplace of James Bond, St Margaret’s at Cliffe/Bay (the home of many stage and screen stars) have seen The St Margaret's Players successfully performing for over 60 years. With such a rich history in the industry and many professionals volunteering to help produce shows, The St Margaret’s Players have played host to many memorable performances.
Our group is open to all ages, abilities and genders whether you fancy spending time on the stage or off of it. We are always on the lookout for those keen to hone their talents behind the scenes such as carpentry, lighting, sound and stage hands so if you want to take part in a very ongoing and social group but don’t want to be on stage acting, still come along… There is far more to a production than the actors and actresses!!
We aim to produce 3 adult led shows a year in January (Panto), June and October. We also put on a show led by our junior members in May! Rehearsals generally take place on Mondays and Thursdays at the hall from 7.15pm onwards.
We are an extremely friendly bunch (excuse the cliché!) so if you want to join in, JUST TURN UP! Keep an eye out for the audition dates for each upcoming show and come along. Don't forget to 'Like' our Facebook site to get the latest info!
Our permanent home, St Margaret's Hall is located on Reach Road, St Margaret's at Cliffe, Dover, Kent, CT15 6AP
Our permanent home is a modern, purpose built hall with a fully licensed bar, state of the art LED lighting systems to further enhance our already wonderfully designed and crafted sets, modern audio equipment to amplify those amazing voices across the venue along with many other features that take us to the 'next level' of amateur dramatics.
